Daniel Taub is an Israeli who was born in England in 1962 and raised in the same country. He has a rich educational background having attended Haberdashers’ Aske’s Boys’ School located in Elstree, Hertfordshire and subsequently joined Oxford University, London before moving to Harvard University.
In 1989, Taub moved to Israel and got absorbed into Israel Defense Forces (IDF) serving as a combat medic. He also got the opportunity to serve as President Chaim Herzog’s speechwriter and in 1991 become a member of the Israeli Foreign Ministry.

At one point, the Queen really wanted to know his feelings about being an ambassador in his country of birth. He said that he felt tremendously privileged and was happy to raise his children in their historic homeland and that he appreciates the ever growing ties between the two countries.
Daniel served in this ambassadorial position from 2011 to 2015. In this four year period, trade between U.K and Israel is noted to have grown twofold. Categorically, more than 300 Israeli businesses were up and running in the U.K during this period as was reported by the Israel-Britain Chamber of Commerce. The annual bilateral trade rose to more than $5.5 billion. But this figure was estimated to be near $7 billion by Sajid Javid who was the British Secretary of State for Business, Innovation, and Skills.
Placing a clear focus on interfaith and cross-cultural activity, Daniel Taub has occasionally been contracted to teach Hebrew study and Bible classes at Westminster Abbey.
He is also a frequent visitor to the Church of England Synod. This diplomat has been in the forefront of reaching out to the Israeli community living in Britain. He has also always taken part in the various cultural events jointly hosted by other ambassadors.
Humor is one of the innate capabilities of Ambassador Daniel Taub. Because of this, he has deeply ventured into public speaking and lecturing.
